McConnell Middle School

I spent part of the afternoon at McConnell Middle School on April 15, 2019.

So where do I start. This school is 23 years old so it’s one of the oldest school I’ve visited so far. In 1996, it had 840 students today there are 2175 students. Under the Leadership of Principal, Clent Chatham and Assistant Principal, Tameika Haynes, this school incorporates art all over the school, they do a community garden and seamlessly ensure the that children with Special Education, & Specific Learning Disability feel apart of the student population. These Principal and Teachers are managing a lot of different challenges but they are committed to making our children thrive. I’m committed to ensuring our next generation is prepared for life…that’s why I am committed to Public Education.

The pictures of the Solar System were all in the ceiling and their was so much fantastic mural around the school. The Parents sitting area was so stylist, welcoming and comfortable
