So if you read my post on each of the school that I have visited, you will see that each school has its’ own unique qualities. Well, Trip Elementary School is no exception of being unique.
Under the leadership of Principal, Dr. Rukina Walker, Assistant Principals: Katrina Larmond & Monya Phillips, this is a dual language French Immersion school . K-4th grade students spend 50% of their Science and Math class immerse in French. In 2nd grade, they incorporate French Literature.
Trip Elementary will be recognized by the Prime Minister of France, Emmanuel Macron in May 2019.
Trip Elementary is #1 school in Gwinnett County achieved on some of these criteria: Weighted School Assessment, milestone testing, Parent & staff survey, school cleanliness etc…
The school is committed to providing opportunities and exposure on various forms of learning. They ensure that students get involved in community service.
The school was built 11 years ago, there is currently 1257 students: 52% Blacks, 28% White, 17% Hispanic, 3% Mixed race. 19% of the students have special needs and 14% ESL.
