The budget cuts presented by the Governor of Georgia is not prioritizing the Taxpayers who should always get a return on their Investments.

Georgia Budget & Policy Institute come in to talk with the Georgia Working Families Legislative Caucus about the FY20A and FY21 Budget and they tell you that Georgia’s Revenue has been impacted by the Trump Administration tax cut to the very wealthy. Our 4.5% growth rate has been reduced to 1% to meet the cuts at the Federal Level.

Did you know that 75% of the taxes collected from us for revenue comes from income and sales taxes? Only about of 5% of the tax collected comes from businesses.

We currently have about 2.4 Billion is our reserve (rainy day funds). This is roughly about 36 days for our State to operate in an emergency situation. CLICK HERE to read the entire budget.
